Dear Mr. Kerr:
On December 23 my family enjoyed your
beloved version of A
Christmas Carol.
We hope you will make this an annual
event at Christmas. We all loved what
you have done to improve the conditions
inside the theater and I have already
told several of my friends about the
performance and they all wished they
could have seen it. I agree with the
reviews in the local newspapers and
we were all in the Christmas spirit
when we left. The children actors were
great and their voices were wonderful.
We all look forward to seeing this
again and again. Thank you for putting
on this new musical. This Charles Dickens
classic is one of my favorites.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Mary Anne Ross |

Good show. Thanks again for including
all of us; everyone had a great
time. It definitely was a lot more hard
work than I'm used to doing
as an amateur, but it really paid off
and I learned so much. And you
brought out the best in our kids - they
were amazing, backstage and on
stage.

Hi, Jay. Just wanted to let you
know how much I enjoyed the show. Like
Cathy DeDe, I went home singing a few
tunes. Congratulations and looking
forward to the next one.

We are so glad you ended up picking
Brendan as Tiny Tim. He had alot of
fun and has been singing all
weekend from the great music you wrote.
Jay you did a great job and
our whole family enjoyed it. Good luck

Dear Jay,
Thank you for offering the Cabaret
series this summer. Judy and
I attended Neva Small (interesting
music and life), Kerri Lynn Jennings
(exceptional!), Women by Women (unusual
songs and three talents), and Songs
of War and Peace (good choice for a
closure).
We fully appreciate all that you have
done to renovate, enliven, and commit
to a new theatrical experience in Salem. Your
incredible talent at the piano, the
variety of performers and the joie
de vivre we all felt each time
we attended are what Fort Salem Theater
is now all about.
We look forward to next summer’s
cabaret perhaps around Broadway Hits,
songs of a country (like Ireland),
Torch songs, Spirituals, Favorite Piano
Pieces, Popular Duets, etc.
Sincerely,
Edward and Judy Hughe |

Dear Jay and Lynne (and all of Salem),
I am filled with too much gratitude
possibly to express in this little
card, but please accept it all the
same. Jay knows for sure how
far I’ve come since the first
time I sang in a [Princeton] Triangle
show, and I believe I owe a lot of
that journey to him.
My stay up in Salem/Hebron was truly
magical, and I thank you both for your
generosity and for all the songs and
laughs. I hope to be back in
the very near future.
Hope “Fall at the Fort” starts
off well.
Yours,
Jesse |

Re: Lynne Kerr in Songs My Husband Wrote
“After several
hours have passed, and millions of
other things have gone through my head,
her performance endures with a shining
clarity. It was really, really
a tremendous show.”

Re: Lynne
Kerr in Songs My Husband Wrote
“She was absolutely
amazing. She got a standing ovation
and I cried three times! Both
she and Jay were just wonderful. The
cabaret is beautiful. I felt
like I was in an alternate universe
where only the things that matter exist. Very
rejuvenating.”

Dear Jay,
What a terrific experience we had
last night.
Thank you so much for the opportunity
to put together such a program and
go for it! It was both a milestone
and break through for us as a family
and as individuals on so many levels.
A night to remember, for sure. It will
have been an important one...
We are delighted with what you are
doing with the theater and cabaret;
and amazed and grateful that we are
able to be here, at the beginning,
doing what we can to help it all come
together. What a blessing for us! And
we are looking forward to working together
more... in the near future!
Enjoy the beautiful day,
Kimerer |

Hello Jay & Lynne,
We want you to know what an enjoyable
time we had at the Cabaret on Saturday
night. The room was beautiful, dessert
was delicious, and Neva Small was wonderful! We’d
say you have a hit on your hands! Bravo.
We’ll surely be returning patrons
and we’ll bring friends. Thank
you for bringing a little slice of
heaven to our community. Here’s
to continued success.
Sincerely,
Liz & Bob Skinner |

Dearest Jay and Lynne,
I had such
a wonderful time! And I'd love to be
considered aboard the Fort Salem express,
if I might. I know you are just getting
started, but I see such potential!
Let's make some theatre in the future.
All my love,
Mary Stout |
