| Rob and Rosie Spring: |
| Almost Like Being in Love |
Rob and Rosie Spring, married and expecting their first child, met tap dancing on the first national tour of the revival of 42nd Street. The Springs tell their story of courtship in an evening of hits from movie musicals of the 1930’s and ‘40’s: how they worked together writing, directing, choreographing and accompanying at a summer dinner theatre in Maine and wintering in the Caribbean, singing on board a cruise ship. With the help of song writers Harold Arlen, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern and many more, Rob and Rosie sing, play, dance and laugh their way through some of their finest adventures together. This past Christmas, Rosie danced the title role in the New York State Theatre Institute production of Sleeping Beauty. Rob, an accomplished tapper and musician, operates a photography studio in Saratoga. ( www.robspringphotography.com) |

Broadway's Bill Carmichael
Those Shining Lights Inside of Me
An original member of the Broadway cast of Mamma Mia, one of Captain Hook’s pirate band in the Sandy Duncan revival of Peter Pan, and the national tour of Phantom of the Opera understudying the title role, Bill Carmichael examines the wide-eyed hopes and dreams of youth, examined through the backward glances of experience and maturity. A member of the original cast of the classic off-Broadway revue, Forbidden Broadway, and a featured actor in One Life to Live and Another World, Bill is equally at home in front of the camera, a full Broadway house or a Fort Salem cabaret.

The singing anchors found their collaborative voice through a calling for community service, recently performing together in a benefit. “What I love about our group," says Layton, “is that we all bring different backgrounds, perspectives, styles and voices, but a similar passion for a love of music and drawing others into feeling what we're feeling in whatever song we choose.” Zahn offers, “Our collection of show tunes and standards has the audience singing along and asking for more. After all, it's not every day you can actually talk to your newscasters and have them respond. And taking to the stage is a lot safer than singing karaoke!” ( www.wnyt.com, www.wrgb.com) |
